6. Transfer solution

Once the liquid has been drawn up into the pipet, and about an inch passed the measuring mark, remove the bulb and quickly place your index finger (NOT your thumb) over the end of the pipet. Allow the pipet to drain until the liquid is level with the mark. Transfer the pipet to your reaction flask, and allow it to drain completely. Do not blow the last drops of solution through.
